San Diego, a city on the southernmost part of California, was where part of the Tribulation Force went into hiding following the nuclear bombing of Chicago in The Remnant. They used an abandoned underground military base as their safehouse until a year before the end of the Tribulation in Armageddon, when Chloe Williams was captured by the Global Community and the believers were forced to move to Petra. Most of San Diego was underwater due to the flooding caused by the polar ice caps melting with the fourth Bowl Judgment.
