"Mr. Hayseed, is this what you call hospitality? There are six of us and you offer one chair. Hello?"
―Guy Blod to David Hassid[src]

Guy Blod (pronounced Ghee Blahd) is a minor antagonist in the Left Behind series. He was a prominent member of the Global Community tasked with the role of Minister of Art.

Biography

After the Rapture

He was the Minister of Art who was hired to develop the giant statue of Carpathia that was to be erected for the Global Community leader's memorial service. He designed this statue to be a metallic nude figure of Carpathia about four times his actual size, and had a furnace at the bottom that used onion-skin paper found in Bibles to fuel its flames. He was highly sensitive about his name and his work, and was constantly clashing with Director David Hassid whenever they worked together. Guy always calls David Hassid, Mr. "Hayseed".

In the Dramatic Audio presentations, Guy Blod is portrayed as having a slight German accent and some effeminate qualities in his speech and manner towards David Hassid. He is heavily implied to be homosexual due to possessing stereotypical traits.
