Gabriel is one of the angels in heaven that Tsion Ben-Judah talks with in the book "The Indwelling" when he sees Michael the archangel dealing with Satan and his angels.

Gabriel is a well-known angel, who appears in all major Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam). His name translates from Hebrew into "God is my strength".

He, alongside Michael, are considered the guardian angels of the nation of Israel.

In the New Testament, he was the angel that appeared to Mary, mother of Jesus, and told her about the God's divine plan involving Jesus Christ (Luke 1:26-38).

He is considered a Saint within the Roman Catholic Church, and is considered one of the three principal archangels alongside Michael and Raphael.
