This is a special temporary page for displaying all the three Razzie nominations that the new Left Behind movie earned for 35th Annual Golden Rasberry Awards which occurred on February 21st, 2015. However ironically and coincidentally, all three of these were won by the film Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas which starred Kirk Cameron who played as Rayford Steele in original Left Behind: The Movie.
In all due respect, the Razzies is the opposite of the Oscars which instead of "the best of the best", it gives awards to "the best of the worst". Not that the reboot of the original movie which is based on the book series is persay terrible, but then again, it has a 3.1/10 rating on Imdb.com (worth noting, the original 2000 film has a 4.6/10 rating).
The nominations that the reboot has qualified for:
Worst Actor: Nicholas Cage (as Rayford Steele)
Winner: Kirk Cameron: Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas
Also went up against: Kellen Lutx:The Legend of Hercules, Seth MacFarlane:A Million Ways to Die in the West, Adam Sandler:Blended
Worst Screenplay Left Behind by Paul LaLonde and John Patus
Winner: Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas by Darren Doane and Cheston Hervey
Also went up against: Sex Tape by Kate Angelo and Jason Segel & Nicholas Stoller, Transformers 4: Age of Extinction by Ehren Kruger, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by Evan Daugherty and Andre Nemec & Josh Applebaum.
Worst Picture: Left Behind
Winner: Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas
Went up against: The Legend of Hercules, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Transformers 4: Age of Extinction
It is to be noted that the only other nomination the new film has earned so far was "Worst Picture" at the 2014 Houstion Film Critics Society Awards, but it lost to "The Identical".
